BMW, Munich, Germany. The M3 is the high performance model of the 3-series and has been very successful in motorsport for many years, winning Touring Car races and Championships all over the World.  It has also had success in rallies, particularly in tarmac rallies such as the Tour de Corse.. The M3 originated in 1985 and has been though a number of generations and is still produced today.  The car in the photo looks like it is the classic E30 model from the eighties and early nineties.  Top speed was around 150mph with a 0-60mph time of under 7 seconds.

Seat, Spain.  The Seat Ibiza supermini was first produced in 1984 and in his now in its fourth generation of design.  I think the car pictured is a second generation car produced after the 1999 facelift.  It is front engine, front wheel drive.  Seat is of course part of the Volkswagen group and the Ibiza shares parts with other parts of Volkswagen range such as the Polo.  The Ibiza has been a successful rally car and won the 2 litre WRC class championship in 1996, 97 and 98 in its Seat Ibiza Kit Car guise.

This is the third year that Patrice & Nadia Leon have campaigned the Seat Ibiza.  Previously they rallied a Volkswagen Golf GTi for many years.  They frequently win their class.

Subaru Impreza Sti N11

Sébastien Bret/Julia O'Brien Subaru Impreza Sti N11, 2016 Rallye de la Cote Fleurie
Subaru, Japan.  Originally introduced in 1992, the Impreza has been a successful hot saloon and rally car for many years. The Subaru Impreza has scored an amazing 46 World Rally Championship round victories. The car pictured is a Group N rally car.  I think it must be a second generation car from he mid-2000s.   It is pictured here at the start of the St Benoit d'Hebertot stage of the Rallye de la Cote Fleurie at the end of February 2016.
