Peugeot, Sochaux, France. This very desirable Peugeot is built on the 402 Legere chassis and has a 2 litre 4 cylinder engine and was the vision of Emile Darl'mat. His vision was to have a comfortable, fast car that didn't cost a fortune. The bodywork was by Georges Paulin and Marcel Pourtout. The car in the photograph is right hand drive and participated in a number of speed events between 1939 and 1948 including at Goodwood and the Brighton Speed Trials. Other cars participated at Le Mans in 1937 and 1938 and won their class.
