Wainer, Milan, Italy.  Wainer is the Italian racing car manufacturer founded by Gionfranco Mantovani.   Their first cars were produced for Formula Junior in 1958.  There were a number of rear engined designs they produced for Formula Junior from then until 1963.   Drivers included Corrado Manfredini, Colin Davis and Ernesto Brambilla. The cars scored some wins as they tended to be relatively up to date designs and have the better Cosworth tuned 1,100cc Ford engines. The cars all had space frame chassis.  The body and nose of the 1963 car look very 1961 F1 Ferrari 156 inspired.   The gearbox was from a Fiat 600.  After the Formula Junior era, Wainer went on to produce F3 cars.

Simca, Poissy, France. The 1100 was a small hatchback car built by Simca from 1967 to 1982.  It had a 4 cylinder Simca engine mounted at the front and powering the front wheels.   The Ti model was a sporty version with a larger 1,300cc engine.  This model was available from 1974 to about 1978. They were of course raced and rallied, particularly in France, and this one continues today to do hillclimbs.  Top speed was around 170kph and 0-60mph was around 12 seconds.

Stanguellini, Modena, Italy.  Vittorio Stanguellini was a Fiat dealer in Modena who started to produce cars with modified Fiat engines.   This 1947 car had a pre-war Fiat 508 chassis.  It has an lightweight aluminium body produced by CA-MO Torino (Motto).  The car raced in Italy during the late forties.  There is probably only one of these cars in the world.
