Peugeot,  Vélizy-Villacoubray, France.  The Porsche 905 made its debut part way through the 1990 Sports Car championship and proved immediately to one of the fastest 3.5 litre cars.  In 1991 they completed a full season but were not as fast as the Jaguars. They did however win at Susuka but retired at Le Mans. Towards the end of the season they improved the aerodynamics with the Evo B model.  It then went on to win at Magny Cours and Mexico and thus Peugeot clinched second place in the Championship.  In 1992 with the main competition from Toyota, Peugeot won 5 out of 6 rounds of the Championship including the Le Mans 24 hours.   Yannick Dalmas and Derek Warwick won the drivers championship and with Mark Blundell, Le Mans as well.  In 1993 Group C racing imploded and thus the Peugeot team concentrated just on the Le Mans 24 hours with the Evo 1 model that they had ran the previous year rather than the Evo Bis 2 they had started to develop.  At Le Mans they managed a 1-2-4 victory with Eric Hélary, Christophe Bouchot and Geoff Brabham driving the lead car.  Following this, Peugeot used the engined for its F1 programme with somewhat less success.
