Lamborghini, Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy. The Gallardo is the best selling Lamboghini to date with over 14,000 sold from 2003 to 2013. It is of course a mid-engined sports car with rear wheel drive. There were many different variants over the ten years of production with the second generation appearing in 2008. The Super Trofeo was a racing version of the second generation Gallardo and was initially designed for a Blancpain one make series from 2009. The series continues today and there have been a number of changes to these cars over the years. They have powerful 5.2 litre V10 engines. The car above is a regular in the Championnat de France de la Montagne and competes in the GTTS class which includes GT cars from one-make championships, silhouettes and World Rally Championship cars.
